Colombian singer Shakira and her Spanish footballer boyfriend Gerard Piqué has suffered a burglary attack after robbers broke in to their mansion in Barcelona and made off with luxury items.
Shakira, 41, was performing in Cologne, Germany, at the time and her partner Pique, 31, who is preparing for the start of football's showpiece tournament in Russia, had travelled to the city to be at the concert.
Meanwhile the parents of the World Cup winner were sleeping upstairs when the break-in happened last night but were both unharmed.
Police say the break-in was 'non violent'. It is thought luxury watches belonging to the footballer as well as jewellery was stolen from the 700 sq m mansion, which is surrounded by a thousand acres of grounds in Barcelona's Esplugues de Llobregat.
