The National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, on Friday said it has lifted the operational suspension earlier placed on DAAR Communications PLC, owners of popular television and radio stations, AIT and RayPower FM.
The development follows an-out-of court settlement by both parties. Recall that shortly after the suspension, DAAR Communications management approached the court, seeking the nullification of the suspension. Although the court temporary ordered both parties to maintain status quo, the parties agreed to settle out of court when the substantive suit was about to be entertained.
Malam Isaq Modibbo Kawu, Director General of the commission, announced the settlement on Friday. The settlement, he however said, is based on the fulfillment of some conditions.
Efforts to speak with a representative of DAAR Communication failed as she neither responded to phone calls nor text messages.
