Reports available to Vigil360 revealed that Nigeria’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 1.93% in 2018. The foregoing was disclosed by a data made available by the National Bureau of Statistics.

According to the report, which was released by the bureau on Tuesday 12th February 2019 the fourth quarter GDP grew by 2.38% as against the 1.81% recorded in the third quarter.

Recall that vigil360 gathered that it has been a positive trading week for the Nigerian stock market with the All-Share Index pushing higher despite US-China trade talks pessimism which may be denting the global market with the risk of export sentiments.

However, local equity markets in Nigeria are seen pushing higher during the second (2nd) week as Nigeria’s GDP growth for Q4 exceeds market expectations.
