President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of a 16-man new board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), with Dr Pius Odubu as the Chairman.This was made known in a statement signed by Olusegun Adekunle, the Permanent Secretary (General Services Offices), Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
Also, the interim management led by Prof. Nelson Brambaifa is expected to hand over to the most senior officer in the commission.
The Statement said “President Muhammadu Buhari has, subject to Senate confirmation, approved the composition of the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission.
“The interim management headed by Prof. Nelson Brambaifa has been directed to hand over to the most senior director in the Commission.
“The chairman and members of the newly composed Governing Board are, by this release, invited to the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation on Monday, September 2, 2019, for proper documentation and briefing.
“They are to come along with their updated CVs and valid identification.”

2. Managing Director- Bernard O. Okumagba (Delta State)
3. Executive Director of Projects- Engr. Otobong Ndem (Akwa Ibom State)
4. Executive Director of Finance & Admin.- Maxwell Okoh (Bayelsa State)
5. Delta State Rep- Prophet Jones Erue (Delta State)
6. Edo State Rep- Chief Victor Ekhatar (Edo State)
7. Rivers State Rep- Dr. Joy Yimebe Nunieh (Rivers State)
8. Abia State Rep- Nwogu Nwogu (Abia State)
9. Bayelsa State Rep- Theodore A. Allison (Bayelsa State)
10. Akwa Ibom State Rep- Victor Antai (Akwa Ibom State)
11. Cross River State Rep- Maurice Effiwatt (Cross River State)
