ICPC Declared House Of Reps Member Wanted

The Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has declared, Shehu Muhammad, member House of Representative Koko/Besse Federal constituency of Kebbi state wanted.

The information was contained on the anti-graft official facebook page on Thursday, as the lawmaker failed to appeared before the commission for an ongoing investigation against him.

 

Mr Mohammed is the Chairman, House Committee on Nigerian Police Force.

 

The anti-graft agency In its post wrote ““The person whose picture appears above, Hon. SHEHU KOKO MOHAMMED is hereby declared WANTED by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for his failure to appear before the Commission, for an ongoing investigation against him,” the statement said.

 

Premiumtimes reported that the lawmaker could not be reached.

 

However, the spokesperson of the anti-graft agency, Rashidat Okoduwa confirmed the development. 

 

According to her the lawmaker was declared wanted for failing to fulfill his bail condition, saying he was granted administrative bail by the ICPC after he was earlier invited for questioning bordering on an alleged fraudulent acquisition of properties, taking the advantage of his office while serving as ADC to a former Kastina state governor.
