PMI: Dangote Group Joins Council

Dangote Group has been announced as the newest member of the Global Executive Council of the Project Management Institute (PMI), following its induction. This makes the African conglomerate the first African business to join the organisation. The Group in a statement made this known saying it joined the council which had another member like Amazon, Bosch, Ali Baba Group, Boeing, Airbus, Bank of England among others.

The Dangote Industries Limited’s Group Executive Director, Capital Projects, Mr Devakumar Edwin, assured that the company will give its full support as a member of the PMI Global Executive Council.

The PMI is a global nonprofit professional organisation that provides ranges of services for project management.

It serves over 2.9 million professionals across 208 countries.

The organisation founded in 1969 has its headquarters in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, USA.

Among services rendered include research, education, publication, development of standards, networking-opportunities for local chapters etc.

The induction of Dangote Group into the Global Executive Council of PMI is apt and presents the group, Nigeria and Africa as a place of value for investments and businesses.
