The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) stated that it has called off the suspension notice earlier, on the sales of products sent to its members since issues of contention have been resolved. The spokesman of the IPMAN office in Maiduguri, Borno State, where the suspension notice emanated from, Abdulkadir Mustapha, has confirmed the suspension via a telephone call, “Yes, the suspension notice is confirmed as genuine but we have already resolved the issue and directed all the members to start dispensing fuel since an hour ago.”

Recall the association earlier sent out a notice on 7th February 2023, in a statement dated February 6, 2023, signed by the chairman of IPMAN, Mohammed Kulwu, issuing all filling stations across the nation to shut and immediately halt the sales of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also marketers were ordered to suspend the payment of ordering products from source until further notice.

The association said the decision followed “the critical situation as it affects our sourcing and selling of product at lose and the action of the authority to impose the selling of product at a lose price on our side.”
