He also clinched a recording contract with Universal Music Africa and an all-expense paid trip tour of Dubai courtesy of Ajala.ng. He received the prize at GAC Motors head office last week.

Nigerian pop stars, Wizkid and Davido have both been nominated for Best African Act in this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards which will take place in London on November, 12, 2017. The duo were nominated in the Best African Act category, they have been embroiled in a battle for superiority on the world stage. Other Africans nominated in the category are Babes Wodumo (South Africa) C4 Pedro (Angola), Nasty C (South Africa) and Nyashinski (Kenya).

Nigerian artist did the country pround as they bag 10 awards in the recently held 2017 Africa Muzik Magazine Awards & Music Festival (AFRIMMA) on Sunday at the House of Blues, Dallas, Texas. The show was hosted by Basketmouth and Chipukeezy, and was a gathering of the best in African music, from Tiwa Savage to Fally Ipupa.

In a bid to advance his solo music career, one half of the former music duo P-Square, Mr P, has signed a partnership deal with Empire, an American distribution company and record label based in San Fransisco, California. The singer recently pulled out of the group Psquare for irreconcilable differences.  The news was disclosed on the Instagram page of both Mr P and official Empire handle.

The Royal Albert Hall, London’s iconic concert centre, has hailed Nigeria’s pop sensation, Wizkid, for headlining the Hall’s first afrobeat concert in a sold-out out show last Friday.
