OAP Tosyn Bucknor Dies

Popular Nigerian on-air- personality, OAP, Oluwatosin 'Tosyn' Bucknor passed away at 37 years, due to complications from sickle cell anemia complications on Monday night.

 

Tosyn, also known as 'Area Mama' was reportedly found by husband, Aurelien Boyer, a French National, when he arrived home from work.

cknor was born on August 15, 1981, to Segun and Sola Bucknor. She was a graduate of law from the University of Lagos.
In November 2015, she and Aurelien Boyer had their Traditional wedding in Lagos and later followed by a white wedding in France.

She joined Top Radio after her NYSC in 2009 as the only female hosting a morning show. 
Until the time of her death, the OAP worked with Inspiration FM but started her OAP journey at Eko FM, She also worked as an intern at Cool FM where she hosted the 'Fun Hour Show' on Saturdays.

Aside from being a radio host, Tosyn was a writer, singer, songwriter, actress and social media content creator. Through her career, She won many awards including the Nigerian Broadcaster's award, Future Awards, Exquisite Lady of the year and others.

Following the news of her death, colleagues and fans have taken to social media to express their love and send condolence messages.
