Nigerian Pop star D'banj and upcoming artiste Teni have been confirmed to perform at the 2019 edition of the Access bank/Lagos City Marathon alongside other entertainers on 2nd February, Eko Atlantic City. This was disclosed in a signed statement by Olukayode Thomas, the Head of Communications and Media of the event, This Day Reports.
Thomas said though he cannot confirm other entertainers, there are insinuations that Burna Boy, Olamide, Davido and Tiwa Savage have been contacted to perform.
According to him, D'banj and Teni are the only artistes who have signed and agreed to entertain marathoners at the finish.
He noted that over 5,000 foreign marathoners from 45 countries have registered for the event.
"Our target of about 150,000 runners participating in the 2019 race will be met. Before the Christmas and New Year break, we already have close to 100,000 runners hat registered. Since the work started, potential runners throng our office daily to request for form. We are also happy that thousands of foreign runners from different parts of the world have shown interest in this edition," Thomas said.
