Television's Emmy Awards has yesterday announced that the awards show set for next month would do without a host to allot more time to celebrate TV series that recently ended, according to Fox executive.

Shows to be celebrated include 'Big Bang Theory', 'Game of Thrones', and 'Veep'.

Charlie Collier, Chief Executive of Fox Corp's Fox series said “If you have a host and an opening number, that’s 15 to 20 minutes you can’t use to salute the shows,”

“We will go hostless this year, and I think it will give us more time to honor those shows.”

“There will be entertainment,” Collier added. “There will be an opening number. There will be surprises.” Collier added.

Awards shows are usually hosted by a celebrity, whose job is to keep the show entertaining, and this year's Emmys decided to pay tribute to outgoing shows, like Oscar Awards in February went without a host, after Kevin Hart withdrew from his hosting job after past homophobic tweets of the comedian resurfaced.
