Veteran Nollywood actress, Rachael Oniga has died following a brief illness, her son Olatunji said. The actress died on Friday night, after battling Malaria and Typhoid. “She passed last night around 10pm. She had malaria and typhoid,” Olatunji disclosed.
Oniga was born on May 23, 1957 and began her acting career in 1993 with her first movie, “Onome”.
She won multiple awards for her phenomenal performance in several films.
Movies she featured in include “The Wedding Party”, “The Royal Hibiscus Hotel”, “30 Days in Atlanta”, “Sango”, “Out of Bounds”, among others.
