Davido Features In FIFA World Cup Soundtrack

Nigerian afro-pop singer David Adeleke popularly for his stage name Davido has been chosen to feature in the World Cup official soundtrack that will be holding in Qatar come November 2022. Davido alongside two foreign musicians in persons of Trinidad Cardona and AISHA sang the 2022 World Cup soundtrack titled 'Hayya Hayya' meaning Better Together.

The afro-pop artist has shared on his Twitter page his latest endorsement today.

“I’m honored to be featured on the Official @FIFAWorldCup⁩ 2022 Soundtrack

Who dey wamba, we still qualify las las.

“See you all later tonight, This one is for Africa! TULE! WE RISE!”

“I’ve grown up all over the world. And the more I traveled, the more I realized that we are all one, one people, one world. So, when this came to me, I jumped on it,” Davido said.

“To be a part of this event that brings together the whole world, and to be a part of this song? ‘We are better together’ went right to my heart. Beautiful, man, beautiful. How could I say no?”

‘Hayya Hayya’ is one of the first projects of activation for the 2022 World Cup.

“By bringing together voices from the Americas, Africa, and the Middle East, this song symbolizes how music – and football – can unite the world,” said FIFA Chief Commercial Officer Kay Madati.

“As part of FIFA’s revamped music strategy, the multi-song soundtrack will bring passionate fans closer to the spirit of the FIFA World Cup like never before.”

The final draw for the FIFA World Cup will take place on 1st April 2022 and Davido will be performing live for the first time at the ceremony.
