Abuja’s topmost 5-star luxury hotel, Transcorp Hilton has completed its new ultra-modern automated gate. The hotel management in a statement on Wednesday said it was beginning a test-run of the gate which opens into the hotel from the Shehu Shagari Way, just opposite the Millennium Park.

The hotel has also closed its main gate on Aguiyi Ironsi Street for an upgrade.

According to the hotel management, “the new gate will upgrade our guest experiences from the point of entry into” the hotel while the test-run is a “prelude to implementation of a paid parking system.”

Transcorp Hilton Abuja in June 2016, commenced a major renovation to upgrade the luxury hotel. The renovation was estimated to gulp $100 million and was the first of its kind in the hotel’s 30-year history.

About a year after, last June, the hotel announced the reopening of its Executive Floors and Lounge following a complete renovation. The reopening of the highly coveted floors, according to the hotel, marked a milestone in the ongoing $100 million renovation project of the 5-star hotel. The Executive Floor rooms and suites were redesigned by award-winning Swedish interior designer, Living Designs.
