The Presidency has finally reacted to growing call for the ban on an ongoing popular Reality Television show, Big Brother Naija (BBNaija). The show which started over three weeks ago has elicited divergent reactions with some calling for its proscription by the National Broadcasting Commission. This category of commentators argues that the show was pornographic in nature and content stressing that it promotes immorality.

Speaking on the building complaints by some viewers, the Special Assistant to the President on New Media, Lauretta Onochie has warned Nigerians to desisting from requesting for the stoppage of the programme. She explained that the programme was meant for adult, so those not comfortable with the content should switch to other channels.

The Presidential Aide who made this position known in a tweet on her verified handle wrote;

"STOP ASKING ME TO FIX BIG BROTHER NAIJA. I DON'T HAVE SUCH POWERS.

Big Brother is an adult programme. If your children are watching it, it's your fault, not mine. Grow up & protect your children. It's not also compulsory to watch. Use your remote control and change the channeI."
