Nollywood Actress, Stephanie Linus has been honoured and recognized by the Los Angeles City Council for her impactful 2014 movie 'Dry', which centres on Vesico-Vaginal Fistula and underage marriage. 'Dry' won Best Narrative Feature at the 2016 Pan-African Film Arts Festival (PAFF)

According to Vanguard, the recognition came ahead of the 2019 PAFF, during the first 'Blacks in Cinema' day presentation in honour of the Black History Month.


The L.A City Council President, Herb J. Wesson honoured actors and filmmakers who have set a platform for others to be represented.


Linus appreciated the Council for the honour and urged Africans to unite in order to make the world a beter place.


She also disclosed that 'Dry' would be screened again on February 9th, 13th and 18th with an interactive session after the opening night.
