The 2019 Grammy Awards which saw Cardi B making history as the first female solo artist to win "Best Rap Album" for her debut "Invasion of Privacy" also featured Lady Gaga and Donald Glover (Childish Gambino) winning Big.
The event which took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday was hosted by Alicia Keys came with lots of surprises, glamour, record-breaking performances and history.
Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Video of the Year was won by Donald Glovers "This is America", which was the first Hip-Hop song of the year winner in the history of Grammys. Cardi B also made a historic win as she beat the likes of Pusha T, Mac Miller to emerge winner of Best Rap album.
The highlight of the event was when Alicia Keys, introduced “my sisters”: Lady Gaga, Jada Pinkett Smith, Michelle Obama, and Jennifer Lopez. They all spoke about the inspiring power of music throughout their lives.
