Nigerian media mogul and CEO of EbonyLife TV, Mosunmola ‘Mo’ Abudu has been confirmed to chair the 47th International Emmy Awards Gala, scheduled to hold on 25 November 2019 in New York City, U.S.
This was made known by the Emmys through their official Instagram account @iemmys. It reads, “EbonyLife TV (#Nigeria) CEO, Mo Abudu, will Chair the 47th International Emmy Awards Gala on November 25, in #NYC. #iemmys”.

Abudu was last year elected as a director of the International Academy of Television, Arts and Sciences, a non-profit membership organisation that organizes the Emmy Awards.

The International Emmy Awards a.k.a Emmy is an American award that recognizes excellence in the television industry.

It is equivalent to the Tony Awards which is for theatre, Academy Awards for film and the Grammy Awards which is for music.

However, Abudu took to her Instagram “@moabudu” to thank the organisation for the opportunity.

She said, “I am honoured to chair the 47th International Emmy Awards Gala that celebrates extraordinary television producers from all over the globe.

I would like to thank the International Emmy Awards for this honour and opportunity.”
