The Federal Government has disclosed that plans were underway to support youths in the Creative Art sector with N300m as startup loans to assist them achieve their dreams and grow the nation's economy. The Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed disclosed this on Sunday while making a presentation at the "Spoken Words Open All White Finale", a platform for music and poetry held at Onikan, Lagos state.


According to him, the government “has succeeded in securing a N300 million loan from the Bank of Industry to support young talents in the arts sector. Very soon, we are going to make available information to Nigerians how to access these funds. These loans are for start-ups to support young artists in the creative industry" he added


The Minister commended the lead Poet, Titilope Williams on her works and presentation stressing that she has continued to capture some special issues, both social and political, intelligently and presenting them in thought provoking manner.


Responding, Titilope pledged to assist youths realize their potentials. She also expressed optimism that the second edition of the event could take place soon, following the overwhelming support and the number of youths waiting to exploit the platform to express themselves.
