Inflation Season: DSTV/GOTV Users To Pay More For Watching Television

The Nigerian subsidiary company of MultiChoice Africa, owners of DSTV and GoTV has today announced a new price tariff for all their packages to its subscribers. The company made this known today through a statement that was made public. MultiChioce revealed that the new price for the packages will take effect effective 1st April 2022. The statement partly reads, “In light of the rising costs of inflation and business operations, we have had to review the price of our packages to keep delighting our customers with great entertainment,

Accordingly, New DStv rates are: Premium (N21,000), Compact + (N14,250), Compact (N9,000), Confam (N5,300), Yanga (N2,950), Padi (N2,150), Business (N2,669), Xtraview + PVR access fee (N2,900) 

Meanwhile, those of GOtv is Gotv Max for N4,150, GOtv Jolli for N2,800, GOtv Jinja for N1,900, GOtv Lite for N900. 

However, the company revealed that its customers who wish to pay for their subscription before the effective date of 1sAt April 2022, will enjoy the old price for all the bouquets while subscribers who pay regularly on time (before their due dates) for a period of 12 months will also be allowed to pay the old price. 

MultiChoice is Nigeria’s pioneer TV service provider which launched its first digital satellite broadcasting service in the country in 1993.
