MultiChoice pay television firm has announced that its flagship initiative, MultiChoice Talent Factory (MTF) will partner with New York Film Academy College of Visual and Performing Arts (NYFA)to promote Africa's creative industries.

According to the Director of MTF Academy (West Africa), Femi Odugbemi said the partnership is in line with MTF's mission to ignite Africa's established creative industries through training and skills development.

NYFA has over the years supported African curators and performers through workshop programmes. Countries including Ghana, Kenya, South Africa and Nigeria have benefitted from the academy's initiative. While speaking, NYFA Vice President, Jim Miller said the academy is honoured to help develop creative students through a mixture of coursework and practical experience, where students learn from actual filmmakers.

Courses in the programme include cinematography, audio and storytelling so as to improve the quality of African content.
