Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, the son of the immediate late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero has emerged as the new Emir of Kano to succeed dethroned Muhammadu Sanusi II. The Secretary to the State Government of Kano, Alhaji Usman Alhaji, made the announcement; just few hours after the Emir Muhammadu Sanusi was send packing.

The Secretary to the state government revealed the appointment was in line with the Kano state Emirate Council Law 2019.

He said, “Section 11 (1) of the Law has empowered the governor to appointment Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero as the emir of Kano,”

Alhaji said, earlier, four of the Kano Kingmakers had recommended the appointment of Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero as the new Emir.

Until his appointment, Alhaji Aminu was the Emir of Bichi, one of the four Emirates Governor Ganduje fragmented recently.

Education wise, the Monarch is a graduate of mass communication from Bayero University Kano. He was also a former Danmajen Kano, Dan Buran, Sarkin Dawaki Tsakar gida and finally Wamban Kano before becoming the Emir of Bichi.

Karaye, Rano, Gaya and Bitchi emirates were the new emirates created by Governor Ganduje recently.
