Following the 256 Nigerians who were evacuated from Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), three evacuees have on Sunday tested positive to the COVID-19 in Lagos State. Professor Akin Abayomi, Commissioner for Health, Lagos State made the disclosure via his official twitter handle, saying the three persons who tested positive have been moved to an isolation centre for immediate treatment.

The evacuees have been observing the mandatory 14 days quarantine in Lagos since their arrival into the country on May 6, 2020, however, the Hotel where the evacuees tested positive was not mentioned.


The evacuees who were stranded in Dubai arrived the country through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos via Emirates Airline by 01:40 p.m.
