Russia Sends First Free Grain Shipment To Africa

Russia's agriculture minister on Friday said Moscow has begun free shipments of grain totaling up to 200,000 tonnes to six African countries, as promised by President Vladimir Putin. "The first two ships have already left Russian ports of Somalia and Burkina Faso. We expect them to arrive in late November to early December," Dmitry Patrushev said in a statement.
Furthermore, he noted that additional shipments to Eritrea, Zimbabwe, Mali, and the Central African Republic would be dispatched shortly. Putin At a summit with African leaders in July, Putin pledged to provide complimentary grain to the six countries.

Rwanda’s President Announces Visa-Free Travel For Africans 

The President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, has declared that the country will grant visa-free travel to Africans to boost free movement of people and trade. President Kagame made the declaration on Thursday in Kigali, the country’s capital, while promoting Rwanda as a tourist destination at the 23^rd global summit of the world travel and tourism council (WTTC). “Let there be no mistake about it. Niger Coup: French Troops, Ambassador To Leave Niger – Macron

President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday announced the withdrawal of about 1500 French troops from Niger by the end of 2023 The French president also confirmed that the French ambassador to Niger would return shortly to France. This is following the coup that ousted President Mohamed Bazoum on July 26. "France has decided to withdraw its ambassador. In the next hours our ambassador and several diplomats will return to France," Macron said.

Storm Kills Over 5,000 In Libya, Thousands More Missing

At least more than 5,000 people are missing in Libya after a severe storm slammed into its eastern coast this week, according to the Red Cross.
