The Supreme Court of Liberia has lifted its stay order on the country’s presidential run-off election earlier billed for Nov. 7. Ruling on an appeal for a re-run of the first round of elections held on Oct. 10, the apex court said evidence provided by the appellants was insufficient to grant their prayers.

South Africa will push ahead with its nuclear expansion plan but will now do so at a slower pace, as weak economic growth means there is less demand for power, Energy Minister David Mahlobo said on Thursday.

South Africa has the continent’s only nuclear power station and is seeking to expand its nuclear, wind, solar and coal power capacity in the coming decades.

According to Zimbabwe Today, an anonymous family source said Grace Mugabe has not been happy since her 93-year-old husband resigned as President of the country.

Egyptian security forces killed five suspected militants in a raid on Monday on a desert location. The interior ministry said the place was being used by the group for training in the Nile Delta province of Sharqiya, north of Cairo.

They arrested six other people and seized ammunition and weapons in the operation, a ministry statement said.
