The State Department has confirmed that a United States Journalist, Christopher Allen was killed in South Sudan on Saturday. The State Department made the disclosure on Sunday in a statement issued by US Embassy.

Russia's ambassador to Sudan, Mirgayas Shirinskiy, was found dead in the swimming pool at his home in Khartoum on Wednesday, the Sudanese police said. The ambassador, who was known to have suffered from high blood pressure, is believed to have died of natural causes, a spokesman for the police told Reuters.

Angola goes to the polls on Wednesday in a historic election marking the end of dos Santos’ 38-year reign, with his party set to retain power despite the country’s economic crisis.
