Russia To Hold Nationwide Vote On Constitutional Change

Russian President, Vladimir Putin has on Wednesday agreed to hold a nationwide vote on April 22 to enable citizens' input in the constitutional changes of the country.

 

According to Interfax news, a Russian lawmaker, Pavel Krasheninnikov confirmed the approval, saying the president has agreed to the proposal of the nationwide vote.

President Putin had earlier in January proposed constitutional changes that would allow him to lead Russia till 2024, which was met with mixed reactions.
