Russia said a US Treasury report that could extend sanctions against Moscow for meddling in the 2016 US presidential elections is "a direct and obvious attempt" to interfere in its own upcoming presidential vote.

By the end of Monday, the Treasury must send Congress a list of rich Russian business figures and detail their ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

US President Donald Trump reluctantly signed the legislation last August that ordered the report, even though US investigators believe he was the main beneficiary of Russian meddling.

More than 100 people have been killed in a suicide bombing on Saturday in Kabul, Al Jazeera reports. According to the report, the attackers drove an ambulance past a police checkpoint to get to a crowded street in a district full of government buildings and embassies, before detonating the bomb by ramming the vehicle into one of the buildings.

The Indian government has announced the end of a decades-long policy of giving subsidy to thousands of Muslims heading to the holy city of Mecca to perform the annual Hajj pilgrimage. Yemen Prime Minister, Ahmed Bin Dagher has accused separatist forces backed by United Arab Emirates (UAE) of staging a coup in the South City of Arden after they took over government headquarters in the region. Ahmed Bin Dagherin a statement issued on Sunday accused the United Arab Emirate of backing the Separatist against the government.

An ambulance laden with explosives killed at least 40 people and wounded many in Afghanistan’s capital city, Kabul on Saturday when it blew up in an area of the capital near foreign embassies and government buildings. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the blast, a week after it claimed an attack on the Intercontinental Hotel in Kabul in which more than 20 people were killed. “It is a massacre,” said Dejan Panic, coordinator in Afghanistan for the Italian aid group Emergency, which runs a nearby trauma hospital.

Fifteen Syrian refugees - some of them children - have been found frozen to death while trying to cross the mountainous border into Lebanon.

Thirteen bodies were found on Friday and two more were discovered on Saturday after the area was hit by a fierce snowstorm.

Lebanese civil defence officials found the bodies after being told a group of refugees were in trouble near Masnaa.

Local reports say the group had been abandoned by smugglers.
