A renowned University in China, Beihang University, Beijing has sacked a professor accused of sexual misconduct, after a former student named him in a #MeToo campaign. According to BBC, the management of Beihang University said an investigation had established that Chen Xiaowu had sexually harassed some of his students including Luo Xixi.

A Phnom Penh court on Friday sentenced a woman to one year in jail for Facebook comments in which she accused Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, of masterminding the murder of government critic, Kem Ley. Hin Vansreypov was arrested in Banteay Meanchey province on July 10 after calling Hun Sen and his family “killers” in a social media post marking the first anniversary of Ley’s murder.

North Korea is to send a delegation to the 2018 Winter Olympic Games taking place in South Korea in February, officials from the South say.

The breakthrough announcement came as the countries met for their first high-level talks in more than two years.

Turkey on Friday warned its citizens to revise their travel plans to the United States or to exercise caution if they go ahead with a trip. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued the warning in a statement released on Friday. The statement cited risk of terrorist attacks as well as arbitrary arrests in Turkey's Western ally. 

Saudi Arabia allowed women to enter a football stadium for the first time to watch a match Friday, as the ultra-conservative kingdom eases strict decades-old rules separating the sexes. The new measure comes after Riyadh, long known for imposing harsh restrictions on women, announced it was lifting a ban prohibiting them from driving, as well as reopening cinemas.

The Iranian government on Thursday alleged that The United States is tapping social media to incite protesters "to change their government," thus tampering in Iranian affairs.

In a letter to the United Nations, Tehran accused US President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence of inciting Iranians to protest against the government through a series of tweets and described US interference in Iranian issues as "grotesque."

It also pointed to a US State Department official’s Tuesday statement that the United States was communicating with anti-government protesters through its Facebook and Twitter pages in Farsi, and was encouraging them to demonstrate.
