As rumours continue to grow on the deteriorating health condition of Kim-Jong-un, North Korean leader, reports claim his sister, Kim Yo-jong is being lined up for as his successor. The reports of the death of Kim-Jong-un, North Korea's leader first surfaced after he failed to attend the birthday celebration of his grandfather and founder of the country Kim IL-Sung.
China has sent a team that included health-care experts to North Korea to advise on Jong-un.
There is a history of cardiovascular ill health in the Kim family, which has ruled North Korea uninterrupted since the country's birth in 1948.
The above coupled with Kim Jong-Un's heavy smoking and weight gain right from taking power in 2011 has served to support rumours he collapsed while clutching his chest when taking a walk earlier in April.
Kim YoJong, in her early 30s, has only garnered global attention in the last few years, though she’s long been a pivotal member of the North Korean regimen, recognizedfor pushing its propaganda model and cautiously shaping her brother’s image.
She has been credited with softening the North Korean dictator’s image and was branded the “Ivanka Trump of North Korea” by multiple global media outlets. The young woman is believed to be the mastermind behind Mr Kim’s carefully constructed public image and has been credited with arranging his succession as supreme leader after Kim Jong-il suffered two strokes in 2008.
Meanwhile, Foreign secretary Dominic Raab, while commenting on the spreading rumours has confirmed that the Government is looking into "uncorroborated" reports Kim-Jong-un is dead. He added that the government is monitoring the situation very carefully but did not speculate about the condition of the leader's health.
