Salah Khashoggi, the son of the murdered Saudi Arabian Journalist, Jamal Khashoggi, who died in a controversial manner has told his father’s killers that he and his brothers have forgiven them. The statement was obtained from his tweet that reads;

“We, the sons of martyr Jamal Khashoggi, announce we have forgiven whoever killed our father for the sake of God. We deeply hope that God Almighty will reward us for this,’’ he tweeted on Friday.

Salah is living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabi with his siblings.

Jamal Khashoggi was murdered in a controversial manner allegedly inside Saudi Arabian consulate in Istanbul, the capital of Turkey in 2018.

The diseased went to process some documents to enable him marry his Turkish fiancée, Hatice Cengiz, who was waiting for him outside.

In December 2019, Saudi Arabia revealed that five persons who were linked to the Khashoggi travel were sentenced to death by the authorities.

Many countries across the world condemned the manner with backlash in the manner the Journalist disappeared in the consulate on that faithful day, criticising how the trial of the suspects was shrouded in secrecy.

Turkish and Western security agencies posited that the crime must have been an executive crime ordered by the top echelon of the Saudi authorities.

Turkish authorities opined that the manner in which the trial was carried out was an insult to their intelligence and observers at large.

Meanwhile, Saudi authorities insisted that the operation was a purely criminal act from men of the underworld.
