Fidel "Fidelito" Castro Díaz-Balart, the eldest son of former Cuban President Fidel Castro, took his own life on Thursday, the island's state-run media reported.

According to CNN, he was 68 years old and had suffered from depression in recent months, according to the government website Cubadebate.

Tall and bearded like his father, Fidel Castro Diaz-Balart was the only child of the Cuban revolutionary leader and his first wife, Mirta Diaz-Balart.

The US States Department on Thursday accused the Syrian Government of using chemical weapon against its people in Eastern Ghouta. The Spokesman of the US states Department, Heather Nauert stated this in a tweet posted yesterday. He disclosed that credible reports obtained from the field indicated that Chlorine gas was used against civilians in the area, stressing that the development was worrisome.

Defense Secretary James Mattis is reportedly considering ban on cellphones from the Pentagon and already is reviewing its use and other electronic devices on military bases worldwide.  CNBC reported that Mattis wants to prohibit all U.S military and civilian. The reviews follow heightened national security concerns about cell phones and other personnel from bringing their phones into the Defense Department headquarters, which is the largest office building housing approximately 23,000 military and civilian workers.

The United States has banned the export of weapons to South Sudan and has urged other nations and the UN to adopt a global arms embargo.

It is a largely symbolic move, as the US does not export arms to South Sudan.

But the move prevents any US company or citizen from offering defence services to the country.

President Donald Trump on Tuesday revoked Obama’s order to close the detention centre here and declared the prison of 41 captives open to new detainees. At the same time, his Executive Order on the topic didn’t rule out the possibility of detainee releases. “The United States may transport additional detainees to U.S. Naval Station Guantánamo Bay when lawful and necessary to protect the nation,” according to the text of the Executive Order posted on the White House website.
