Lawyers for US President Donald Trump are seeking to stop the release of a book containing explosive insights into his presidency, US media report.

It cites former top aide Steve Bannon as describing a meeting with a group of Russians as "treasonous".

Lawyers to the President of the United States, Donald Trump have officially written a letter to his former chief strategist, Steve Bannon over alleged violation of a non-disclosure agreement in his terms of employment. The cease-and-desist notice contained in the letter according to CNN accused Mr Bannon of defaming the president in speaking to author Michael Wolff.

U.S. President Donald Trump said in tweets on Tuesday that the United States may withhold future aid payments to Palestinians, accusing them of being “no longer willing to talk peace” with Israel, Reuters reports. The United States Government says it would sustain pressure on North Korea until it halts its nuclear program.  White House national security adviser H.R. McMaster who stated this in an interview with CBS on Tuesday said the United States doesn't want to risk coexisting with a nuclear North Korea. "We can't tolerate that risk. If North Korea has a nuclear weapon, who are you going to try to prevent getting one? Look at the regime, the hostility of this regime to the whole world."

United States Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley has accused Pakistani Government of playing 'double game' and harbouring terrorist elements despite existing pact between both countries. Her comment is coming few days after President Donald Trump accused Pakistan of lying to the US and offering very little assistance in the hunting down of terrorist elements in neighbouring countries.

The U.N. General Assembly voted overwhelmingly Thursday to denounce President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, largely ignoring Trump's threats to cut off aid to any country that went against him. The nonbinding resolution declaring U.S. action on Jerusalem "null and void" was approved 128-9 — a victory for the Palestinians, but not as big as they predicted. Amid Washington's threats, 35 of the 193 U.N. member nations abstained and 21 were absent.
