United States President, Donald Trump may have concluded plans to scrap the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA), a programme that protects young undocumented immigrants from deportation while also providing work and study permit for them.
According to Politico, President Trump made his decision known in a conversation with House Speaker, Paul Ryan on Sunday. He urged Ryan to draw up legislation within six months to replace DAKA.

The Pentagon has revealed that over 11, 000 United States forces are currently in Afghanistan, contrary to earlier reports that only 8, 400 forces were still in the country.  The Joint Staff Director, US Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Kenneth Frank McKenzie made the disclosure to reporters at the Pentagon. He hinted that the figure suggests that there are approximately 2,600 more US troops in Afghanistan than had been officially announced.

U.S. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said on Wednesday that the United States was not out of diplomatic solutions with North Korea, just hours after President Donald Trump tweeted that “talking is not the answer,” Reuters reports. When asked by reporters before a meeting with his South Korean counterpart at the Pentagon if the United States was out of diplomatic solutions with North Korea, Mattis replied: “No.”

Airstrikes by the United States-led Coalition on Thursday targeted craters and destroyed roads that ISIS fighters had planned to use to evacuate the Border area between Syria and Lebanon.  The Coalition spokesman, Col. Ryan Dillon which made this known in a statement issued on Thursday said though the strike did not hit the convoy, individual vehicles, and ISIS fighters were struck.

Officials of South Korea Air Force said on Thursday four US F-35B fighter jets joined two US B-1B bombers and four South Korean F-15 fighter jets in the joint US-South Korean flyover of the Korean Peninsula. The exercise was tailored to send a strong signal to North Korea, two days after Kim Jong -UN ordered his military to fire missiles over Japan.

The Rights chief averred that derogatory remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump about journalists could amount to incitement and embolden followers to attack certain communities.
