US President Donald Trump has ended his two-day summit with North Korea’s Kim Jong-Un over unsuitable demands by North Korea. The summit, which was aimed at building better relations between the two countries with talks on North Korea’s denuclearization.

According to Reuters, Trump walked away from the deal after Jong-Un demanded that sanctions placed on the North Korean be lifted.

Trump said Jong-Un promised him that North Korea’s main nuclear facility would be dismantled but asked for sanctions relief. United Nations whose main contribution comes from the United States had sanctioned North Korea over its nuclear and ballistic missile test in 2017.

This is the second summit between the two leaders; the first, which held in Singapore, produced a statement where Jong-Un pledged to denuclearize the Korean peninsula.

The no-deal summit marks a major setback for Tromp, especially with pressure over his ex-attorney, Micheal Cohen testifying against him before Congress.

Though no date for the next meeting, the White House said both parties are looking forward to meeting in the future.
