The United States Electoral College has voted to affirm the presidential election results of November 3, making Joe Biden the 46th president-elect of the U.S. The president-elect alongside his running mate, Kamala Harris polled 81.3 million votes against Donald Trump's 74.2 million votes, beating Trump by 4.45 percent. Biden has officially been awarded 306 out of the 538 Electoral College votes in the presidential election, exceeding the 270 votes required. However, President Donald Trump has refused to concede the elections and has continued to allege electoral malpractice with about 50 litigations across the country in efforts to overturn the election results.

Meanwhile, the President-elect and his vice-president-elect will take the oath of office on January 20, 2021.
