Following the attack on Capitol Hill which is one of the sacred institutions considered by Americans being the champions of modern democracy, 37 Reps members have endorsed the article for President Trump's impeachment. The article initiated by Ilhan Omar, a Democrat Reps representing Minnesota accused President Trump of “high Crimes and Misdemeanour”.

The heat is coming when the administration of President Trump has just two weeks to wind down, this as the Democrats were pissed off by the action of Trump supporters who stormed the Capitol Hill when the congressmen were at the verge of ratifying Joe Biden victory as the President-elect of the States in the just concluded presidential election.

After being gingered by Trump's speech in his last kick to resist defeat from the polls, the supporters stormed the Legislative building in a chaotic manner sending the congressmen to scamper for safety.

Though an afterwards, Trump condemned the siege on the Capitol Hill but stood his ground that he was rigged out from the poll and was not ready to give up.

Some key officials accused Trump of inciting the hoodlums into laying the siege on the sacred house and deserve to be impeached as the president.

Contained in the article by Ilhan Omar, she said Trump would be like a ‘bull in a Chinese shop’ if he is allowed to remain in office.

The article reads; “Once again, Trump has violated constitutional oath to faithfully execute the office of President of the United States and, to the best of his ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States,”.

Omar added, “Every single hour that Donald Trump remains in the office our country, our democracy, and our national security remain in danger. Congress must take immediate action to keep the people of this country safe and set a precedent that such behavior cannot be tolerated.”

Meanwhile, about 12 lawmakers have already endorsed the article as co-leads.

However, in her subsequent tweet, Omar listed additional 24 members who have followed suit bringing the toll of the congressmen to 37 who already share her view.

In the interim, the speaker of the House of Reps, Nancy Pelosi, has demanded that the Vice President, Mike Pence invoke the 25th amendment to remove Trump from office.

In her statement yesterday, “Trump has committed an assault on our nation and our people. Pence must remove him and invoke the 25th amendment. If they fail to act, we may be prepared to move forward with impeachment. Justice will be done to those who carry out these actions of sedition and cowardice,”.

In a similar manner, the Senate Democratic leader, Chuck Schumer, has called for the same invocation of the 25 amendments a clause considered as the last option to unseat a president.

Schumer said, “What happened at the U.S. Capitol yesterday was an insurrection against the United States, incited by the president. This president should not hold office one day longer,”.
