The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has on Sunday revealed that Five cases of the deadly infectious Coronavirus have been confirmed in the United States. Nancy Messonnier, Head of respiratory disease, CDC made the disclosure in a press conference, saying the five infected are in California, Arizona, Illinois and Washington State.

She noted that the five contaminated are currently hospitalized, while 100 more patients across 26 states are on intense analysis.

“We expect there will be other cases,” she said, however explaining that the risk of contagion in the U.S would be low seeing as the contaminated people were those that travelled directly to Wuhan, China.

The Coronavirus since its emergence in December 2019 has affected about 2000 persons in China and 56 people killed.

Meanwhile, the World Health Organisation (WHO) chief, Tedros Ghebreyesus has arrived in Beijing for emergency meetings with representatives of government agencies and other crisis management experts.
