Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has accused the Nigeria Centre of Disease Control (NCDC) of scaring investors away from his state with coronavirus alarm. The Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 had on Monday warned the general public that they have placed Kogi state at “high risk” state that travellers should avoid it or enter at their risk over the unyielding of the state Governor to acknowledged the existence of coronavirus in his domain.

COVID-19: Nigeria To Receive 140m Vaccine Doses Between 2021 And 2022 – NGF

The Nigerian Governors under the umbrella of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) has hinted that the country would take delivery of 80million doses of coronavirus vaccines before the end of this year to cover 40 percent of the population, and would be followed up with another 60million doses next the year 2022. The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 is considering targeted lockdown in some selected State including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja; as well as Lagos and Plateau States. PTF National Incident Manager, Mukhtar Muhammed, who stated this on Friday as a guest on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, described as alarming, the rising cases of Covid infections recorded in the three urban areas.
