The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has commenced online processes for the registration of products, NAN reports. The Director General of NAFDAC, Prof. Moji Adeyeye on Thursday disclosed this during an interview in Abuja.

She said the development, which is in line with International standards is also aimed to ease the application and registration process for enterprises and to ensure the consumption of healthy food and drug products.


NAFDAC, whose mandate is to safeguard the health of Nigerians has made it possible for all scales of enterprises ( small, medium and large) to register their products on their devices.


Prof. Adeyeye stated that the agency has adopted a new motto, "Customer Focus, Agency Minded" in efforts to deliver quality services to Nigerians.


Before the commencement of the online registration, the agency recorded a backlog of about 6,000 applications for registration of products, but the introduction of the online registration has made it possible to fast track the processing of applications.
