6 COVID-19 Patients In Quarantine Recovers In Lagos

Additional six (6) coronavirus patients under quarantine in Lagos State have fully recovered making a total of eight (8) recovery case in Nigeria. This disclosure was made by the State Commissioner of Health, Professor Abayomi during a radio programme, The Morning Crossfire on Nigeria Info FM.

The Commissioner stated that the 6 recovered patients will be released from the isolation centre in the State on Friday 27th March 2020. in his words: "We are going to discharge 6 out of our 24 patients. So our admitted patients will go down theoretically to 18 but if we admit more, they will go up." 

Abayomi informed that the Lagos State government is building 250-bed capacity tents in three locations, as well as refurbishing a whole hospital in Gbagada to accommodate potential patients. he equally assured Nigerians that the government is working hard to ensure that cases of Coronavirus are contained as the Lagos State government has expanded capacities to deal with the pandemic.
