The Republic of Madagascar after the production of a herbal drug for the cure and prevention for the novel coronavirus known as COVID Organics (COV) has offered Nigeria and other African countries. The distribution of the herbal drugs has been divided into zones due to ease in transportation through African countries, hence, Nigeria consignment has been sent to Equatorial Guinea where it will be airlifted to Abuja.

Although there has been pressure on the Federal Government by different medical and scientific organizations for drugs to undergo further analysis and clinical trial by the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD) and National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).

The FG as at weekend was unable to take any position cause AU has mandated its Africa Centers for Disease and Prevention ( Africa CDC) for a proper scientific data gathering on the safety and efficacy of the COVID Organics produced by the Madagascar Republic.
