Nigeria's COVID-19 Toll Surpass 50,000 Mark

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday night announced new 593 confirmed COVID-19 cases, bringing the total in the country to 50,488. The new cases were reported from 16 states: Plateau (186), Lagos (172), FCT (62), Oyo (27), Delta (25), Rivers (20), Ondo (19), Edo (18), Kaduna (17), Enugu (12), Akwa Ibom (10), Ogun (7), Abia (6), Gombe (6), Kano (3) and Osun (3). The deadly virus has so far claimed the lives of 985, while 37,304 patients have recovered.

No COVID-19 Related Death Recorded In Nigeria Wednesday - NCDC

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported zero death and 453 new cases from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic outbreak in the country. The NCDC made this known on its twitter handle on Wednesday.

COVID-19: Nigeria Records 241 New Cases

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has disclosed that as at yesterday Tuesday Nigeria has recorded an additional 241 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus infection pushing the toll to 10,819. Meanwhile, 15 deaths were also recorded from the deadly virus, bringing the total deaths to 314. Although,there was an observed decrease in the number of the infection on Tuesday when compared to that recorded on Monday.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has said there are at least 70 COVID-19 vaccines in development for the containment of the virus, of which three are in clinical trial stages. According to Science alert, the Public Health body published this in a recent updated list of vaccine efforts for the fight against COVID-19.

EFCC Arrests Fake CBN Governor

Officials of  Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on Friday said it has arrested a cyber fraudster (yahoo boy) by name Onyebuchi Nwalozie Julius in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state capital for impersonating the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Dr. Godwin Emefiele.
