US President, Donald Trump, has said he is getting better as he gave an update on his COVID-19 diagnosis, from Walter Reed military hospital on Saturday night. However, in a video posted on his Twitter page, he said, “I’m starting to feel good” as he promised that he was fighting the virus for COVID-19 patients “all over the world”. “You don’t know, over the next period of a few days, I guess that’s the real test, so we’ll be seeing what happens over those next couple of days,” he said.

The White House physician, Dr. Sean P. Conley, said later on Saturday night that president Trump had made “substantial progress since diagnosis.” Mr. Trump was “fever-free and off supplemental oxygen,” Dr. Conley said after he had declined earlier on Saturday to say whether the president had been on oxygen at any point since being diagnosed with Covid-19.

Meanwhile, in Nigeria, a total of one hundred and sixty, 160, new cases of COVID-19 infections have been recorded. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, (NCDC), announced the figure on Saturday night in a tweet via its official Twitter handle.

NCDC said Rivers and Lagos States recorded 42 and 32 cases respectively, while Plateau followed with 21 cases. Nigeria now has a total of 59,287 confirmed cases and 1,113 deaths.
