Insecurity: Governors Are Helpless – Gov. Ishiaku

The Governor of Taraba State, Darius Ishiaku has lamented the state of insecurity in some parts of the country, stressing that state governors had little or nothing to do about the situation.

The Nigerian army has on Friday cleared air that it has never lost control of Baga town in Northern Borno as against report by some section of media that the insurgents have overrun the town. The statement was issued in Maiduguri while speaking on behalf of Lt-Gen Tukur Buratai, by Maj-Gen. Lamidi Adeosun, the Training and operation officer shortly after presentation of the new military operation in the northeast according to NAN.

PSC Approves The Appointments 8 New DIGs

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the appointment of eight new Deputy Inspectors-General (DIG) as part of the new Management Team of the Nigeria Police Force.
