P&ID $9.6bn Fine: We Shall Upturn The Case Without Negotiation – FG

The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN) has disclosed that the Federal Government is not considering any negotiation with the Process and Industrial Development Limited (P&ID).] Recall, a Commercial Court sitting in England granted the request of the Nigerian government to contest the $9.6billion fine granted in favor of the P&ID.

NIS Uploads 150,000 Stolen, Lost Travel Documents

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) INTERPOL i-24/7 desk has seamlessly uploaded about 150,000 Stolen and Lost Travel Documents (SLTD) to INTERPOL Global System (IPSG) located in Lyon, France. This was disclosed in a statement by NIS spokesperson, Mr. Sunday James to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Abuja.

The National Economic Council (NEC) on Thursday informed that community policing will soon take off across the country to battle the escalating insecurity. The new security plan, which is expected to halt killings, kidnappings, banditry, and insurgency in many parts of the country, has got N13 billion cash approved by President Muhammadu Buhari. Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule announced the decisions at the end of NEC’s sixth meeting this year, which was virtual, except for the attendance of a few of the members at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa. Sule was one of those who attended the meeting at the Villa which was presided by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

Benue's Most Notorious Gang Leader Killed, Others Arrested - Army

The most wanted criminal gang leader in Benue State, Terwase Agwaza, otherwise called Gana, has been reportedly killed, during a gun battle with military men along Gbese-Gboko-Makurdi road, on Tuesday. According to information, Terwase had turned himself in, following the amnesty program by the state government in Katsina Ala township stadium in Katsina Ala Local Government Area of Benue North. However, while being conveyed to Makurdi, it was revealed that some military men intercepted and killed him.  Confirming the incident, the Commander, 4 Special Forces Command, Doma, Nasawara State, Maj.-Gen. Moundhey Ali, said the military men gunned Gana down at a roadblock mounted by the soldiers.

Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufa’i has revealed that following the crises that are rocking the southern part of the state, his government is set to install Closed Circuit Television at a strategic location to enhance the security of communities. El-Rufa’s disclosed this in a statement signed on Monday after meeting with the president of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev Supo Ayokunle, and other CAN officials of Kaduna state.
