The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has said that it will arraign popular Nigerian musician, Afeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, and "Able God" crooner, Zlatan anytime from now.

The singers were arrested last Friday by the EFCC in connection with alleged Internet fraud and money laundering.

The EFCC’s Acting Head, Media, and Publicity, Tony Orilade, in a statement to newsmen in Abuja, confirmed that the commission had received the order to detain the suspects, stressing however that they would be arraigned very soon.

Speaking on how long the musicians would be detained, Orilade simply said, “They will be charged to court. As soon as we have a clear date, I will let you know.”

Dailypost reports that a source at the magistrate court told The Punch that in order to keep a suspect in custody could take either seven, 10 or 14 days.

The EFCC had claimed that based on “intelligence report” the duo along with three other suspects, Tiamiu Abdulrahman, Adewunmi Adeyanju and Musa Abubakar, were arrested during an early morning raid at 9, Gbangbola Street, Ikate, Lekki, Lagos.
