The recently released Jennifer Ukambong Samuel disclosed that while in captivity in the den of Boko Haram, she met with Alice, who was abducted last two years by the insurgents, where she told her that Leah Sharibu is alive and doing fine.

Miss Samuel, an aid worker from Plateau state who was abducted during the eve of Christmas last year on their way to Jos via Maiduguri, Borno state from Monguno where they were on a humanitarian work, she has regain her freedom from the dreaded group last week alongside four others whom they were captured together and has since been reunited with her families in Jos.


Jenifer while talking to Journalist in Jos after reunion with her family revealed, while in captivity, she met with Alice who informed he that Grace Taku and Leah Sharibu are alive and doing fine in the forest.


According to her, her abductors were on a mission to prepare their minds to the Boko Haram ideology in-case the government failed to secure their release. One of their claims was that if their release is not secured by the government, they will become slaves for the rest of their lives and exploiting them sexually will be part of the deal.


She continued that the insurgents were told that Islam is a blessed religion and if they fail to embarrass it, they will be missing, however, when the insurgents brake the news of their release to them they could not believe it, the insurgents claimed that God did not want them to be in their den.


Jenifer revealed when the news of their release was broken to them by the insurgents, they could not believe it; they kept praying that it was not a setup. Five days later, they were released, to females and three men unhurt.


She disclosed that she met with Alice, who was abducted two years back by the insurgents; Alice informed her that she has accepted her fate since there is nothing she can do.

She informed her that Grace Taku and Leah Sharibu are alive, though didn’t set her eyes on them but was confirmed by Alice they were alive, she said. She added they need prayers for God to intervene in their predicament.
