Chidinma Ojukwu, a 300 level Mass Communication student of the University of Lagos, has pleaded not guilty to the murder of Super TV CEO, Usifo Ataga. The 22-year-old, who is being prosecuted by the Lagos State Department of Public Prosecution, who is accused of murdering Super TV Chief Executive Officer, Usifo Ataga, pleaded not guilty to the crime on Tuesday alongside one Adedapo Quadri as they are the key suspects in the murder case. They were arraigned before Justice Yetunde Adesanya of the Lagos State High Court sitting at the Tafawa Balewa Square.
Ojukwu and Quadri pleaded not guilty to eight counts charges bordering on the offenses of murder, forgery, and theft.
The defendants were arraigned alongside Ojukwu’s sister, Egbuchu Chioma from whom the late Ataga’s iPhone 7 was said to have been recovered. Chioma pleaded not guilty to the ninth charge.
Trials resume in November.
