According to reports, on Monday, bandits abducted more than 10 students of Government Secondary School, Awon, a day school located in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State. This was disclosed on Tuesday in a statement issued by the state Commissioner for the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan.
The Commissioner stated that the exact location of the incident is yet to be ascertained, adding that they are waiting for the detailed report of the abduction and would issue another public statement in due time.
